Designing costumes for “KIN Season 2” required a creative and meticulous process to capture the essence of the wealthy stylized Dublin criminal gangland family without breaking the budget. Here’s a brief overview of the design process:
Each character’s personality, role, and social status were carefully researched to create a closet of costumes that reflect their individuality and financial standing. This series had such a diverse range of characters, each with their own style and colour story.
Tailoring is essential to ensure that each costume fits the actor perfectly, enhancing the overall appearance of wealth and refinement. Attention to detail, such as well-fitted suits and elegant dresses, is crucial.
Costume tests are conducted to verify that the designs look convincing on camera and under different lighting conditions. Adjustments are made as needed.
